Program Information
Summer Day Camp at Morgantown Learning Academy is ten weeks of summer fun. The camp begins on Monday June 7, 2010 and ends on Friday August 13, 2010. We offer a flexible schedule that allows parents to bring their child only during the weeks that they register. Children can be brought to the program Mondays through Thursdays at 7:30 am or any time after that. Except for the first and last Fridays, and any inclement weather, all summer campers will be at Krepps Park and Pool for the program times. Pick up is by 6:00 pm, no exceptions. There is a $25 late charge for pick-up after 6:00 pm. We are located off of Easton Mill Road. The mailing address is 123 Discovery Place Morgantown, WV 26508.

Policies and Procedures
Each family who registers will receive a summer handbook to help answer questions about the program and give everyone some general information about the policies and procedures of MLA. This will be available during the first week of the program and must be signed for. If you wish to have a copy before then, the handbooks will be available in the front entryway at MLA.

Children must be signed in before they are allowed to participate in that days activities. The sign-in sheets will be in the lobby to the left as you go through the main doors. Please choose the approiate board, find your child's name and sign your name, the time they arrived, and the approxiamate time of pick-up.

At MLA we want to keep your children as safe as possible. With that in mind we have some specific traffic regulations to insure that safety. As you drive onto the campus you will see large white arrows directing the flow of traffic. This first arrow directs vehicles up the hill by the main building. Traffic then continues around both buildings and down on the opposite side of the second building. As you drive down this hill you will notice that there is parent parking to the right in the open lot and some parking in front of the concrete basketball pad. This is the only permitted parking for drop off and pick up. The parking in front of the main building is for teachers and administration personel only.

A weekly newsletter will be available for pick up in the main lobby beside the sign up sheets. This information will also be posted above the sign-in sheets in the lobby. This is also where any notes and reminders will be posted for you to read. Please take time and read that bulletin board every day as you drop off your child.

Office personel are available for questions or concerns on Monday from 7:30am until 6pm. Tuesdays through Thursdays from 7:30am until 3:30pm. The office is closed on all Fridays.

Snack/Lunch
MLA provides each child with a healthy morning and afternoon snack. However, parents must provide their child with a packed lunch. MLA does not provide refrigeration of any kind or a microwave. We strongly suggest packing an extra bottle of water and extra snack for your child on pool days.
**MLA is a PEANUT-FREE SCHOOL.**
Do not send any peanuts or peanut products with your child. Please read all labels carefully. Be aware that some foods are processed in a peanut facility and this affects those with peanut allergies as well.

MLA Apparel
We have a variety of MLA Apparel and sports packs available for purchase. Each child must purchase an MLA summer program t-shirt to wear on field trips and pool days. You may pick up an order form at the school. Orders are due by Friday, June 18, 2010.
