After-school is provided to all full-time students on school days, early dismissal days, and on faculty development days, when there is sufficient demands to merit the service.  This year, our afterschool director is Mary Hinchliffe.

After-School Policy and Procedure

After-school care is provided for all full-time students. As there is large demand for after-school care, please provide advance notice of your child's participation whenever possible. Please notify the after-school teacher in writing if there is a change in your normal schedule. MLA will not release children from the premises with anyone other than parents without advance written notification. There is a charge of $3.50 per half hour for after-school care and this is invoiced separately from tuition. Once you have received your invoice you have five days to remit payment or a $25 late fee goes into effect. You are responsible for signing your child out of the after-school program. If no signature is on the sign-out sheet, you will be billed for the entire three hours. Whenever possible, a detailed weekly schedule will be available to interested parents. The above guidelines and schedules are subject to change. In the event of such changes, you will be notified in writing and the changes will be posted at MLA for no less than one week prior to the date of activation.

MLA offers students many opportunities to learn and grow together outside of classroom learning.  Our Ancillary classes expose students to Art, Spanish, and Music on a weekly basis.  Students receive physical education five days a week.

Every semester we offer different after school clubs for students to chose from.  Students may also participate in our summer camp program and after school programs.
