Believe it or not, summer is just around the corner and that means fun and exciting adventures are waiting for your children!  The MLA Summer Program has been in existence for over ten years and has served many children in the Morgantown area.

All children ages 5 through 11 are welcome.

MLA offers the following options for the summertime fun and learning:

The very popular Summer Day Camp enables children to learn and grow during the summer months through hands on activities by exploring weekly themes. Some activities include: arts and crafts, educational games, language-building activities, guest speakers, music, filed trips, outdoor exploration, and social activities. Campers enroll in one-week segments, which allow families on vacations to give available spots to other children and keep costs reasonable. 

Our Preschool program Pre-K Pals, a fun, hands-on, summer fun program designed specifically for 3 and 4 year olds. Children will be active throughout the morning hours participating in dramatic play, blocks and building, sensory table time, arts and crafts, outside exploratory play, games and puzzles, reading exploration, gross and fine motor skills, socials skills , fun theme activities and much more. Our PreK Pals enroll in one week segments. Class size is limited to 10 children per class, so sign up now for a spot in this fun preschool program.

For extra academic focus, MLA offers Academic Clinics. Students recieve small group specialized instruction. Instruction is for two hours a day, with the option for students to have Lunch and Recess with the Day Campers. Students enroll for a two-week session with instruction Monday through Thursday and visit Krepp's Park and Pool on Fridays.

MLA is offering a variety of specialty Workshops. This year some of our workshops include the popular Bridge Building as well as some new favorites like Jewelry making. These workshops run two hours in the week specified, Monday through Thursday, with the option to go to Krepp's Park and Pool on Friday. After-school is provided to all full-time students on school days, early dismissal days, and on faculty development days, when there is sufficient demands to merit the service.

After-School Policy and Procedure

After-school care is provided for all full-time students. As there is large demand for after-school care, please provide advance notice of your child's participation whenever possible. Please notify the after-school teacher in writing if there is a change in your normal schedule. MLA will not release children from the premises with anyone other than parents without advance written notification. There is a charge of $3.00 per half hour (2008-09) for after-school care and this is invoiced separately from tuition. Once you have received your invoice you have five days to remit payment or a $25 late fee (2008-09) goes into effect. You are responsible for signing your child out of the after-school program. If no signature is on the sign-out sheet, you will be billed for the entire three hours. Whenever possible, a detailed weekly schedule will be available to interested parents. The above guidelines and schedules are subject to change. In the event of such changes, you will be notified in writing and the changes will be posted at MLA for no less than one week prior to the date of activation.
