Information is placed in your child's communication folder (see below), which is located outside of your child's classroom. Communication is also made via email, if you have provided your email address to the office. Telephone communication is also done on an "as need basis". Parents' may contact the office between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm for information or to schedule an appointment with a teacher or the Director. Communication Folders Every student will have a permanent classroom communication folder. All letters, notes, etc., will be placed in this folder daily. It is the parents' responsibility to take home their child's mail everyday. There will also be a folder, labeled with the teacher's name, in which you can put returning mail. Please ask your child's teacher where his/her folder will be. Phone Usage Policy The phone is for MLA business use only. Students may not use the phone without permission from an MLA staff member. Phone calls will not be made to determine if a student may leave with another student. Students will not be released to an unauthorized person without prior written permission from a parent or guardian. E-mail Policy If you wish to receive e-mail from MLA, you must complete an e-mail add/change form or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it requesting addition to the MLA e-mail distribution list. In this e-mail you must provide the following information: your name, your child's name, and your e-mail address.
